A friend of mine suggested that I post a photo of my palette after my sitting yesterday. Boring or interesting...don't know????...but...here is a shot of the palette after 2 hours of painting a gentleman from life.

Hello, I discovered your blog a little while ago and often pop by to have a peek. Thankyou for sharing your palette after you have finished painting, I find it very interesting, as is all your work. I admire people who live their dreams and give everything they have to make them real.
One day I hope to be able to paint from life and really live my dreams too.

I have a great admiration for Mr. Kinstler and have read his two book. I consider you a real extension of him in the world of portrait painting. Could you please tell me the colors of your palette which you are posting now. What kind of "white" that you're using -- Permalba white or Titanium white? Thank you.

I think it shows a pretty organized, disciplined approach - look at the value massing on the palette.
My palette often looks pretty schizophrenic after I have completed a painting session and what I learn from looking at yours is to start with the darks on the left side of the palette and gradually move over to the right as values grow lighter.
